Description: This two (2) hour, instructor-lead, continuing education course orientates the field provider on public safety communications, emergency medical dispatch and the medical priority dispatch system.
- Providers will understand medical priority dispatch systems (MPDS) and their relevance to EMS professionals.
- Providers will review current 911 technology, including wireless phase 2/E911, NG911 and its implications for the future, and what information is available to dispatchers via 911 and CAD technologies.
- Providers will know how to leverage the skills of your telecommunicators to provide better patient care.
