As the Town of Stratford hosts a main rail station within its borders, awareness of MTA operations & safety is important to our Public Safety response. This 2-hour CME session is an introduction to railroad emergency operations and will cover MTA Railroad safety and Awareness for EMS but is open to ALL first responders / public safety personnel.
Provided by MTA’s system-wide Fire Chief, topics include:
- Introduction to MTA Metro North
- Communications. – Communicating with the railroad Right of Way Safety Operations
- Electrical Hazards
- EMS Response Operations
- Rescue and Evacuation Considerations.
