Description: This two (2) hour, instructor-lead, continuing education course orientates the field provider to Responding to a Multi-Patient/Multi-Casualty Incident – The First 5 Minutes – The First 5 Actions.

EMS providers respond routinely to calls for service where the focus of the providers is on the single patient. This CME raises the awareness for providers and how their response and actions in the first 5 minutes of an MCI is critical in effectively and efficiently providing lifesaving care.

    • Attendees will understand the need to prepare and develop skill-sets for responding to MCIs
    • Attendees will understand the need to operate within and build upon the National Incident Management System
    • Attendees will demonstrate basic proficiencies in efficiency, command, control and communications during MC & MP Incidents
