About the Lecturer: Kelly Lynch, LCSW, EMT, CPT, PN-1 is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, former EMT, certified life coach, certified Fitness Trainer, and certified nutrition coach. Kelly owns two businesses, a private psychotherapy practice, Turning Point Wellness, and private life coaching practice, The Unapology Project. She has contributed to the development of multiple emergency services programs, clinical programs, and education curriculums for emergency services personnel and clinical therapists, as well as taught these programs. Kelly specializes in PTSD in EMS, along with anxiety and other trauma related disorders.

About this session:

This 2 hour, Individual Core Content (ICC), Continuing Medical Education (CME) session hosted by Stratford EMS will cover Self-Care in EMS, how to identify when the EMS provider is in need of assistance and how to request assistance.  This is a MUST for all EMS providers, especially during these difficult times.

  • What self-care is NOT
  • The differences between self-care and self-indulgence
  • Understanding the basics of self-care (brain, body, behavior, beliefs)
  • The value of 1% change to develop self-care habits
  • Emergency self-care
