Lecturer Bio: Aaron Katz is EMS Coordinator/Educator at Norwalk Hospital EMS. Aaron has been a paramedic since 1995. He has worked as a paramedic in the NYC 911 system at Cabrini Medical Center, a Trooper with the CT State Police and a Captain at Stamford EMS. Aaron holds a Master of Health Sciences in EMS Leadership from The George Washington University, and he is an EMS Instructor certified by the State of CT and the National Association of EMS Educators.

Description:  This 2.0 hour Continuing Medical Education session hosted by Stratford EMS will cover Difficult Airway Management. This presentation explores challenges in prehospital airway care and provides a critical thinking framework and techniques for airway management.

  • The provider will be able to identify the anatomy of normal and difficult airways
  • The provider will be able to understand what makes an airway difficult and different ways to overcome that
  • The provider will be able to utilize various pieces of equipment to facilitate difficult airways

Intended Audience: Paramedics, BLS is welcome
