Description: It is important for EMS providers to understand palliative & hospice care as it relates to end of life considerations. This understanding drives a deeper sense of empathy and caring for patients and their families and allows providers to care for their patients in a more wholistic way.
This two (2) hour LCCR CME will cover:
- General overview of hospice and palliative care
- End of life considerations
- Do Not Resuscitate (DNR)
- Medical Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (MOLST)
Audience: All levels of EMS and First responder
