This eight (8) hour, instructor-lead, classroom course trains the new ambulance driver how to drive safely in both emergency and non-emergency situations and provides defensive driving techniques for maneuvering through traffic.
The course covers vehicles inspections and characteristics, critical elements (scanning, cushion of safety, communicating), situational driving, special considerations and scenarios.
Course completion certificate and recognition patch are provided upon achieving 80% or better on the final exam.
