Description: Based on recent responses, this 2 hour CME session, hosted by the Stratford Volunteer EMS Association will explain eastern medicine, treatments vs. abuse, patient presentations, and common medication-herb interactions. This CME is designed simply to bring awareness to this rare encounter and assist providers in assessing and understanding these kinds of situations.
Intended Audience: All First Responders / EMS
Speaker: Christopher LaCava, M.S., L.Ac. is a Licensed Acupuncturist who has been in private practice since 2004. He was selected and completed a 2-1/2 year apprenticeship with the then head of Tri-State College of Acupuncture’s (TSCA) Japanese Acupuncture Dept., Emilie Connor, P.T., L.Ac. Mr. LaCava has traveled to Japan to train with Master Acupuncturists, such as Sensei Yoshihiro Kawai. He has taught at multiple NCCAOM Accredited Acupuncture Colleges here in the United States. Mr. LaCava currently travels around the U.S. and Canada teaching and lecturing on Eastern Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Martial Arts.
